Both visceral and subcutaneous fat increase a person’s risk of developing things such as diabetes, stroke, different kinds of cancer, high blood pressure, and heart disease, as well as other kinds of degenerative diseases.

Excess fat in the belly area also has been found to be associated with C-reactive protein high levels, which can indicate that there’s a lot of inflammation in your body and that can lead to the development of heart disease.

One of the reasons why visceral fat is very dangerous is because it appears to release more of the inflammatory molecules into a person’s system on a regular basis, which raises the person’s risk of heart disease.
